About
The Hampshire Hogs were founded in 1887, at the height of the wandering cricket revolution — a movement born of the conviction that the game should be played for its own sake, against the best opposition, on the most beautiful grounds. We predate Hampshire CCC's First Class status by seven years, and have been playing in that spirit ever since. An anachronism, and proud of it: a wandering club that found a home. We moved to Warnford in 1966, purchased the ground in 1994, and placed it in trust for the membership in perpetuity. No benefactor. No subsidy. Just the members, the match fees, and an enduring love of the game.
2026 Season Highlights
Lashings World XI. President's Day. Over forty fixtures.
On 5 June we host Lashings World XI — a T20 afternoon with international players, a marquee lunch, and a match to remember. In August, President’s Day returns to Warnford with another special guest lineup to be announced.
Beyond those set pieces, the 2026 card includes the MCC, Free Foresters, I Zingari, Sussex Martlets, Band of Brothers, Stowe Templars, and more than forty fixtures from Rome in April to the Bedouins in September.

Membership is open to anyone who shares our love of declaration cricket, good company, and a proper tea. Playing membership, social membership, and the Friends of Hampshire Hogs scheme are all open now.
